our founder

With over a decade of experience in education, Sam Jeong has worked as an admissions officer, university counselor, and elementary school teacher in the United States, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Originally from South Korea and Washington state, Sam is an educator dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging for his students. He holds a BA in Sociology and Chinese from Williams College and an MA in Independent School Leadership from Columbia University. He lives in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Launched Founders Initiative, a collaborative movement of visionaries contributing to shaping the future of education at the UWC-Inspired Vietnam Campus.

2024

Successfully organized Doing Good, the first UWC short course in Vietnam, the Vietnam Changemakers Hackathon & the Virtual College Writing Party.

2025

Continue developing new short courses and initiatives: Embodying Earth, Stanford e-Vietnam & Festival for Good

Receive IB accreditation for the new campus & receive Initial Notification
